Lisburn. The infamous Maze prison, rumour had it at the time it's where most of the IRA training took place and I don't doubt it for a minute.
I was out there working when Bobby Sands expired after his diet and there were some long old days out there at the time and you chose your company with great care... You are all close, so I'll tell you. The security gate at Castle Gate, Londonderry: Everyone entering the city centre was checked and searched. The netting is to stop improvised RPG from hitting the windows. Caroline lived on the outskirts of Londonderry until she was 19, so all through the troubles. Her Dad worked in the Development Corporation Offices next to the Guildhall. We still have the Union Flag that was flying when the Guildhall was bombed in 1972: Caroline's father rescued it from the rubble...
