They missed out some of the funny ads. Hi-Lux was a great ute. Guess the moderns are full of electronics just as all modern vehicles are. Top Gear tried to destroy one of the earlier generation. Cousin out in Oz would not have anything except Toyotas including several Land Cruisers over the years (but then he did run a car/truck dealership - Toyota/MB/Mack).

I built my first Land Rover out of three scrappers, doesn`t everybody..(-: I remember the first Landcruiser pick up I saw here, perhaps around 1972 (?) I wanted one. I do admire robust and simple construction... Glad you found a laugh or two in the adds guys...(-:
