The Autocar website has a ‘spy’ shot of the new 3 wheeler under testing. They are unable to confirm the power plant with no visible mechanicals, although the front suspension is said to be substantially upgraded indicating a likely power increase. Full launch expected later this year with production in 2022.

Aluminium chassis! With only 8 years of production time for petrol cars left on launch will it be electric? From where the driver is sat there doesn't look enough bonnet length to get an ICE engine under there, all conjecture of course. Good that they are doing some testing rather than just donuts round the Visitor's Centre carpark to quote Pete Larsen😆

No engine radiator or exhaust visible so could be an EV (i3 / Mini EV motor?). External roll bar is self-supporting so not an external tube chassis? Disc wheels just for the prototype or for performance reasons? All good fun... I reckon a £45K car.

IIRC the Ford 3 cyl engine block is only around the size of an A4 piece of paper (without ancillaries) so would probably fit quite a small bonnet length

Looks like it's going to have more of a traditional morgan front end, bit like a F type, but with a more modern curved grill. Reckon that would be a very good look.

They've disguised that BMW Mini front end pretty well.

They have certainly gone to town on that roll cage and spoiling panels. Coil overs look well inboard. It's success will hinge on the drive train I suspect.

I’m sure Morgan will do a great job of the styling and it will run like a dream. But for me the magic of the original 5 speeder with the big S&S up front is lost in the new car. It is such a shame when Morgan had ironed out all the issues (almost) it had to come to an end. Thank you EU NOT! I hope the original gets a good send off, lots of photos and videos of the last car made. We are never going to see a car like the 5 speeder go into production again. We were so lucky to have had it in the first place! Good luck to the new one.
