We've been meaning to have a ride up for a spot of reminiscing in the Mog as we are only half an hour or so away.

If we manage it at some point I will let you know, there are some good runs up there. thumbs

hi Graham and Paul, re the stubborn front bonnet catch, applied more pressure than I should have and the rascal snapped. I immediately fell into a screaming / skriking depression, but all is relieved now as I'm booked into Lifes motors for Monday afternoon, Matt there doesn't seem to surprised or perturbed about it , not stopped my passion for my little red car, not in the slightest, I'm loving it.

Morgans are quite rare everywhere!
My sister and brother in law used to live in Greenfield. Mum moved up to be near them in the '90s. Had a bungalow in Diggle.
Sorry to read about the bonnet catch - it wouldn't be the first one.

Well graham what about that, it's a small world. Pity your not visiting the area anymore. Yeah the catch button breaking was a nasty shock, I blame it on the weetabix. The thing is I'd had it open once to check the fluids etc, it wasn't easy then but managed it. The worry is that after Mat (at Lifes motors) has mended the button will the catch be has difficult to open, will I have the same problem! Hopefully he'll have had experience with them, and maybe, like you said it just requires a bit of grease

I am sure that Mat at Lifes will soon have your bonnet catch behaving as it should. I suspect yours won't be the first he has seen with that problem.

Thanks to Mat at Lifes Morgan Southport, he sorted out my bonnet catch, gave my car a thorough check over, greased, topped up, replaced etc. He has cartainly gained my confidence, he's a real pleasant guy who also knows about Morgans. He plied me with lots of hints ant tips while there and at a good honest price. (Worth considering if you've not visited before, take a picnic as we did, the promenade is only 75yrds behind the shop and it is very civilised, we had a nice couple of hours)
