And this is exactly why the lady of the house won't ever entertain one of these in the house .. and I am more than happy about that..

An added incentive is the fact the neighbours cats use the flower beds as a lavatory doesn't add to the cause either, I'm running out of small potatoes for the catapult now it's spring time and they have awoken from their torpor..

Unfortunately not been to Paignton Zoo to pick up our bag of Lion Poo yet this year, it's very effective at keeping these little s--ting machines out of the garden, a little sprinkling over the flower beds works a treat.

Small pebbles work.
My grandad used to breed and show birds at National level and made a catapult to deter cats from his aviary and shed. I got to be pretty accurate up to 25 yards. Even a near miss got them to scuttle away. Pebbles from the nearby river.

There are small LED lights that are solar powered which you can deploy around your garden. If they come through a small gap in your hedge etc then just point the spot light and sensor directly at the gap. When they stick their head under to check for danger it will trigger the light and the cat will quickly stop using that gap. Worst it will do is muck up their night vision for a bit.

Similar to this.

I use a massive water pistol on the cats & the pigeons. Stops you snoozing in the deck chair & provides exercise.
