It's the seller that has updated the advice Steve in the light of recent changes, as they are not "E" marked dedicated LED units. Here is link again, scroll down to "Stop Press" at bottom of page.

You may be lucky at MOT time however.


Do they need to be “E” marked to be MOT compliant in the UK, even with none LED

I think E marks are a 'Constuctions and Use' thing, rather than MOT 'inspectable'.

So if you were unlucky enough to be pulled for a VOSA check or a very over enthusiastic plod, they would pick up on non E marked lights, but the MOT would not.

I would agree but an E mark on an LED headlamp does confirm its approval and with such that it's a dedicated sealed unit and not an after market "bulb" conversion, which is something that would/should be checked at MOT.
