The zipper holds the drivers side to the passenger side, which has the liftthedot studs. Is the driver's tonneau rigid otherwise what keeps the lower edge in place? Would the rigid tonneau fit in the boot? And if it is rigid, I hope the edge next to the drivers neck isn't too sharp - I'm sure the Type Approval folks would have a fit if they had to sign that off :-)

I think I have misled you, as I believe you were asking about the P101 tonneau, and I was referring to the standard M3W. I have no idea if a tonneau can be fitted to the drivers side of a P101.

I'm taking more pictures of the interior of my P101 today/this weekend. The tonneau cover does have a leather-wrapped cushion on the driver's side edge. The cover comes off very easily, but you can't leave the leather armrest on if you want to put the cover on. I've been trying to think of how I could attach strong magnets to the mount holes of the armrest so it could be quickly added & removed should I want to take a passenger (and I've enjoyed taking all my passengers this week

I also need to see about removing the DOT bracket for the headlights. Merlin left it on as I wasn't sure what I wanted to do going forward, but I don't want to keep it on while I debate possible changes (and leaning heavily against anything that would alter the P101 package.
If anyone happens to have torque specs for the suspension bolts that this bracket is mounted through, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Lovely tonneau! Begs the question, does anyone want to start producing these for all earlier models?

Thanks for posting the video. I like the tonneau as well. It looks like you could fir this to a dual roll hoop car, or install the second roll hoop if you like. You mentioned you had put a couple of hundred miles on it thus far. How is the drive with no windshields at all?

Yes, the covers pop out for a second hoop, should I opt to install one.
I've put about 120 miles on it. About 50/50 major roads and neighborhood. At 65+, the wind can get intense. Got caught in some light rain the other night and it stings at 45mph. Other than that, a pair of aviator sunglasses is all I've used. Thinking about ordering a pair of Halcyon's or similar. Also considering what helmets to get.
