That hall looks a nice place to visit Jon, I guess our average temperature is quite a few degrees higher than yours, we had wild orchids and fritillaries among the bluebells too which is normal here. The daffodils are all but over but the primroses are still going strong.

The birds are going crazy feeding at the moment we spotted 12 species in the garden yesterday including a very random Heron we thought he must be frog catching. We have seen mummy Dunnock in the garden feeding her youngsters so I guess she will be going for a second brood soon.

Another fine day in Bognor. I did pass and greet a cream Morgan at Badbury interchange (Swindon M4), last 3 reg digits MOR, at just after 8 a.m.

Must be careful on the way home, I got snapped by a mobile unit going past Stroud village , Hampshire last week doing 35 in a 30. Fortunately it's been a while since I've had a ticket, so it's speed awareness course this time round; with Covid it's all on line, so presumably can be done anywhere.

No Chassis legs here Graham, but maybe some Linden chair legs and seats. There is some Ash among the stand, which don't look too bad at the moment, given East Sussex has been hit hard by Ash dieback. I'm not sure if affected Ash trees will be any good for Morgan frames, as the disease causes embrittlement of the wood fibres, making limbs liable to sudden failure. I understand MMC have a good stockpile, and presumably are working toward the wood only being decorative in future generations of cars after stocks are depleted, or go over to Sycamore!

Yes, I've been out most days in the fine weather and today went out to move the newly greased kingpins around and test a slightly higher tyre pressure - 23 PSI front and back - it reduced the oversteer on throttle lift off. I noticed that the wiper's water bottle was hanging at an odd angle, one of the rivets having lost its head. Put a self tapping screw in for now as I do not have a pop rivet gun but I suspect it will not hold in the long run as there are significant forces applied on potholes and speed bumps.

I have also carried out the first wire wheel cleaning exercise since owning this vehicle for the last 18 months. Generally the wheels are cleaned on the outside every month or so but I did not pay any attention to the inner flange. As you can imagine, I found a thick cocktail of road grime, mud, grass and tar creating it's own ecology. ACF 50 proved to be the best at shifting the muck with a follow up of window spray. This may have been the very first time the inner wheels had any attention, there is an amount of staining and some stubborn tar deposits which will need clearing. Anyway, for you and I who care, they look lovely.

They look pretty spanking to me KC. I find Pink stuff and a scotchbrite works well to loosen tar and stubborn marks on the wire wheels if you feel the need, followed by polish/wax of choice.
Thanks, it's RollsRoyce Pewter, (or green on the V5) under the road wash grime!

Time for a service ,went down to Beamish Morgans yesterday , heavy rain all the way thank goodness for the new wiper blades they really are a huge improvement .
The service went really well plus I had new wheel cylinders fitted .
I spent my time looking at the cars in the Car Barn I was a bit shocked at some of the prices ,Mini Cooper S 74K old Defender {like new} 59k .
Good drive back up the A1 round trip 375 miles and one tank of fuel .

Went with some of the GEG down to Harwich for a coffee and back via Shotely. It was dry & warm going. Heading back we just beat the rain home.

A short test drive round the roughest local roads after spending the afternoon fitting Roger's spring assisters. All went well and now need to try them on a longer run with a full load of luggage.
