When you debaffled the right pipe, did you accidentally add some other blockage ie is there a noise difference too? eg did the catalytic converter break and add a restriction?

Do you have Protune and if so are there any ECU fault codes?

A long shot would be one side has hit the mixture adaptive tolerance limit and is running the right hand cylinder lean/hot.

You could try disconnecting the battery for at least 20 mins which should put the ECU back to it's base map. However if it has gone out of tolerance once it may well do so again.

Don't have protune, will it run on apple or just windows?
Pipes were drilled out a couple of years ago.
No issues with catalytic convertors
Did the battery disconnect no change.

Protune only runs on Windows

If you only have Apple then maybe consider buying a cheap Windows PC just for Protune. It'll run on anything newer than WIndows 7 so something cheap off eBay should suffice.

I did exactly that.

Another option, although I haven’t tried specifically with protune, is to buy Parallels for mac. It allows one to run Windows on a mac. It works great for various other windows-only software.

I dont think this will work as the Protune software will be looking for a Windows method to address USB ports which wont be available on a mac.
I very much doubt a mac emulation will support this.

I have played around with mac windows emulations for other purposes so have experience in this area.
Go windows cheap and cheerful as mentioned above.

Parallels does allow usb for Windows. It’s a very polished piece of software. There are cases where you’d have to specify in parallels to connect using windows upon connecting the cable to the Mac.

I run Protune on an old 11" MacAir with Windows Parallels and Windows 10.

Works fine, other than the annoyance of the typical Windows slow boot up.
