It looks like a matt version of B.M.C. Willow green, failing that chances are it will be a classic Land Rover colour.

Nick, no they didn't even respond to my polite inquiry. I had to get the dealer I bought the used 3w from to ask for me, and that's how I got the color (I am not seeing the color code on my VIN plate, btw. Unless there is something i don't know about the info written there). He asked for the color code and that's where is is now: I am waiting for the company above to mix me a touch up kit. still waiting on that order! I will post pics on how close it matches

So Chipex has refused my order of making a touch up kit because their PPG colors will not match.
Back to drawing board. Will call local vintage resto shops for advice.

SUCCESS! I sales rep from Morgan sent me the paint codes. I will share them here. If you own a matte green RAF here is the mixing scheme: ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/05/14/Screen-Shot-2021-05-14-at-7.51.26-AM.png)

For what it is worth the correct RAF Dark Green , used in the early war years, is Federal Standard 595 Color FS 34096 I'd be interested to know how well the paint used by Morgan matches!! It is also a standard BSI colour as well, but I thought the FS would be more use in the USA... The colour fades in strong sunlight and goes more earthy.

And how well it matches the faded colors.

Okay here is the latest chapter. The PPG codes in the above Formula Recipe are for water-based primers. My local paint shop said they couldn't translate those to silicone or solvent based one-and-done touch up kit. They recommended I go to a local auto collision garage and just ask them to mix with their primers. For 30 dollars a local shop mixed about 6 oz of primers only (water based) and they match really closely (we're talking 98-99%). Since it has to be sealed, I ordered a matte/eggsell clearcoat pen from ColorRite. So I think I am in business. I bought some empty 2 oz paint canisters with cap-brushes, so I think I am set. Took a little running around and research, but I can fix all the stone chips on the car now. If you own one of these matte military green RAFs, those are your paint codes above.
