I believe the ones for the MX5 are threaded and too small to fit on the shaft in the three wheeler

Mark H reported a few posts up he fitted a MX-5 gearknob... pretty sure Morgan wouldnt re-engineer the gear stick just so they could fit a Heath Robinson gear knob!

I took Mark’s word for it and ordered one of the knobs above. I will update on progress.

My car is a 2012 so bear that in mind when ordering - most gear knobs are multi fit and come with adaptors to fit a multitude of gear levers.

Looks good - have you got the old original one off yet and cleaned down to the thread?

I wanted something similar to a D type Jaguar gear knob and achieved that but the vibration cracked the plastic threaded adapter rendering it useless hence my latest which didn’t require an adapter.

You may also need some form of ferrule nut to bridge the gap between the leather gator and gear knob.

I pulled the knob once to try and tighten it but quickly put it back when I saw the mess underneath. I will take another look when the new one arrives. It's something to do while I wait for it to stop raining.
