I am installing folding windshield brackets and aero screens next weekend on my 1979 4/4. Do the wiper blade arms simple pop off with a little upward pressure or are they threaded? thanks,

Of the three cars I have owned they have all just pulled straight off the splines after a little struggle.

Some later Mogs have a philips screw that needs loosening (don't remove completely) ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2020/07/08/Spline-screw.md.jpg)

My 1966 Land Rover and 2018 Roadster both had the tapered wedge controlled by Phillips screw that locks arm onto splines, as Jon describes. I did replace the arms on my Roadster with superior black Caterham ones though. These have a spring catch that locks arm onto splines. The tab of this catch needs to be pushed to release using a flat blade.
Now I have no idea if this latter type were ever used as OE on Morgans, but if so or as retro fit like mine I think you could do damage if you just tried pulling them off without releasing spring catch first.

Thank you - one and all. No screws on my '79 wipers so must be the pull/pry off type. Seems easy, but this is a Morgan. I appreciate the help. Will update when completed. Cheers,

Thanks for everyone's help. Two outer wiper arms popped off easily, the center one with some struggle. Folding windshield brackets and Brooklands aero screens installed. Still planning to install an MG type dash mounted mirror when it arrives.
