Along with fixing a number of other issues I had the Morgan fix for the squealling brakes done by my dealer on Friday. It seemed to have involved removing and turning round the calipers and fitment of a new bracket so that the pads are presented to the disc at a slightly different angle.
It works fine going forwards. In reverse its now exactly like it used to be going forwards.... Hmm. Work in progress still I feel. At least the dealers explanation about turning the calipers round makes sense though!
On a more positive note, nearly all the other items on a fairly long list were sorted. Inclduing a pre-emptive mod for the radiator problem. I also had the free courtesy check done at the same time despite thinking it was just a bit of PR spin. However, I was most impressed. Dealer spends three hours and has to remove wheels, floor pans etc and check security of various engine, suspension and underbody fastenings including torque settings for front wishbones. It certainly looks like Morgan are keen to monitor issues on the new CX and try to keep on top of things. Apart from the brakes and the fuel gauge and one other item I am sorted. Somewhat reassured - although it might just be my rose-tinted Morgan glasses.
