I like the look of the rear diffuser on the Aero 8 , mine has not got it but I wonder does it actually improve the handling and how much is it to order ?

Ive just checked the price when I bought mine (2009) and It was £150.00 plus the contribution to government coffers.

Not sure how much difference it makes but tidies up the rear end.

Tango was already equipped with a diffuser when I bought her.
I believe it is more for cosmetic reasons than for performance confused2

Pretty sure, as above only cosmetic, but a must if you have side pipes IMO.

I had mine retro-fitted cost £250.00.

It is a cosmetic enhancement.

If you read some of the early 2007 Aero 8 threads, there were various options bandied about when the sidepipes were introduced; including, but not limited to, a mesh screen that matched the S1/S2 lower grills.

Aeroman, Boshly and I tried to get the factory to make a nice, thin fin, diffuser (at times the suggestion was carbon fibre); however, in the end (during the time of the S3) the plastic diffuser was introduced.

Whilst it finishes the car, I doubt it adds anything to the aerodynamics of the vehicle. smile

I always quite like the diffuser mogcollector had on his Aero, no doubt expensive, but exclusive!

So is there anything at all available for the S1.

Your right , they tidy up the back a bit.
I will have to retro fit it when I get it serviced .

Otherwise it looks like they forgot something at final assembly !!

Just checked with Richard Thorne Morgan dealer. Diffuser is 163 quid + VAT and they would charge 25 to fit so not bad, so I am going for it.
