Up to the 3 Counties Showground at Malvern this afternoon for my 2nd C19 vaccination. A pleasant jaunt, saw another Mog just after I left the show ground, an RAF Blue Plus 4 looking very smart.

Graham, I saw your car at the office today but you were busy on a tour.

I did bump into Ian and Steve and had a catch up about "Nero" Memory lane for Steve.

TBM, I must have missed you by minutes at Caff&Mac as Guy was starting the on road shooting with the VW and I followed him and the camera car out of the gate. Apparently it's something Channel 4 are doing but don't know when. I was there from about 12.00.

They must have been doing several runs - I was there about 10.15am and left about 11.00am smile

I did manage to grab this pic, the town in the backdrop is Callander which is quite close to the Doune hill climb circuit. The car parks were all pretty full around the Trossachs as the weather was nothing if not balmy, lots of cloud but WARM.. Mostly just bumbling along and the old thing never missed a beat...Wonderful.. (-:

A beautiful photo, George. Somehow like painted or handcolored. Your Plus 8 looks like it is pictured on a Revell model car box. So that everyone who buys the model kit gets a motivation how his work should look in the end. I especially like these old aluminum wheels.

Sorry to miss you Bob!
Two tours - back to back (with a quick dash out to my car for some fluids after getting the film started for the second tour).
Can get pretty busy with a max of 6 on a tour and tours going out every 20 minutes smile

Heinz, thanks for taking time to comment on the pic, seems you caught me out in that I made use of a photo manipulation programme to "enhance" the original raw file that my camera produces.

As for the wheels they are my particular favourites, though the earlier Millrace wheels being smaller diameter (15 inch) and with higher aspect ratio tyres which provide the same rolling radius as the later larger wheels, (16 inch) will no doubt exercise the suspension a tad less and perhaps provide just a degree of extra comfort.. ? (-: My wheels also had the benefit of a professional refurb over the Winter which has improved their appearance a tad.

While I spent many of the miles bumbling along through the warm breeze, I have to admit that a few miles prior to arriving at the location of the pic, the road up over the hill from The Lake of Menteith, to Callander is a bit of a favourite of mine with many tight twists and turns and fortunately it was almost traffic free, which provided a reasonable opportunity to help spread the grease up and down the length of the suspension pillars, to exercise the horses just a little bit, and also to ensure none had wondered off to graze elsewhere during the many many months of lay up.. Having enjoyed that wonderful stretch of Tarmac I bumbled along once again for a few more miles of river and lochside roads before arriving at the Dukes Pass....now... that is one road that would bring joy to any sporting motorists heart, and in a Morgan.... What`s more to want..? With many blind crests and bends as it twists and turns through beautiful scenery, it is perhaps best "enjoyed" when most sensible folk are fast asleep in their beds, thus oft times I traverse it near dawn..(-: Being blessed with such wonderful weather, as expected there were a couple of determined cyclists taking on the many steep inclines and one or two poorly parked cars which the occupants had temporarily abandoned being more interested in grabbing pics of the scenery than their personal safety, thus on this occasion bumbling along seemed par for the course.

My sense of well being now topped up to as near the full mark as would seem to be possible, it was time to turn for home, another wonderful few miles of Morganeering and a pic or two grabbed to help preserve the memories of it all for a time when such pleasures may not be as readily available as they have been in times past.. Good old Morgan thumbs

Luddite .... it is a fine pic of a fine car .... your desription of the roads sounds great ... must head down that way once the Mog's done.

Quite often down around Doune but only in a camper towing a large trailer unfortunately (will be there 19/20th June for the British Championship round)

Sounds like you had an uplifting trip.
