The rubbers have perished on the track rod ends of my 2002 4/4 and I'm looking for new rubbers or track rod ends.

Do you know if we can get new rubbers and in this case what are the reference or at least the dimensions?

I have seen on Melvyn Rutter site that track rod end (Part N° 121) are more than €50 (exclusive tax and shipping) which seems to be very expensive so I'm just looking for compatible and cheaper one. Quinton Hazell 1572S seems to be a good replacement.
Any ideas??
Thanks,

If Terry Foxen doesn't have them in stock, he'll know the part number for you.

JJ .... I'm not sure about the later cars but I had track rod ends that were fine but the rubber boots were split (an MOT failure here) .... I found these on fleabay and they fitted fine

A twist or two of some sort of locking wire round the top and bottom of the boot would be a good idea.

Its technically an MOT failure if there isn't something to positively locate the boot so as to prevent ingress of dirt

Small cable ties do the job

Thanks for that Arwyn .... fortunately nice and easy to get at ....I'll fasten it when I get the chance ... still a month or two away from on the road.
