Diagonal tie rod? I'll have a look. If unsure, check out go-mog workshop manual online: “Front Suspension” section, click on paragraph 12.03 headed “crossframe adjustment” and you will see a diagram in which they refer to it as a crossframe stay.

Put some axle stands near the outer edges of the lower cross head tubes and it will open the crack up slightly as the cross head flexes.

Have you checked that the damper blade is still bolted up as it should be Gary, easy to eliminate, worth a look

I have a much older +4 and experienced the same after crossing a particularly rough rail road track. The wobble was so violent, I thought I had a front wheel coming off. That was 5+ years and many miles ago. It has never happened again and I have no apparent damage. It was as though the shock absorber was overwhelmed by the violence of the impact and stopped working momentarily.

Front wheel wobble commonly known as the St Malvern`s dance on Morgans can be related to a number of issues. Later Morgans with wider wheels and thus more grip on the road surface seem devoid of the tendency to "dance." There are many theories relative to front suspension alignment in terms of rake and trail etc.etc.etc. Hopefully the link below might provide you with an insight, or indeed provide you with even more questions... As others have said, the things to check are damper blades, shock absorbers and mountings, tie rods, kingpins and bushes, tyre balance, pressures and general condition including age.
I notice that my 4/4 is more prone to wobbling if the suspension needs greasing or the damper blades are poorly adjusted.

Brake reaction bars will help that, tightens up the front no end and cheap.

Diagonal tie rod? I'll have a look. I suggest you check if you have any play due to kingpin bushes wearing out. With steering wheel line front wheels straight ahead, grab tyre from top and shake in and out. Notice if there is any sideway play. If yes it could also be the culprit.
