Sadly, we're in the part of our year up here when it doesn't get dark enough all night to see the lights even if they're there .... will be another month or six weeks til it's dark enough before midnight to catch them ....
On the bright side plenty of dark nights to come and we're moving closer each year to the cyclic maximum.

I do appreciate your warnings of possible sightings ..... do I presume your primary interest is around the ionospheric disturbance effecting your radio transmissions??

Lovely shot Keith. More than 15 years since I was that far north (a week in a "cottage" at Culkein Drumbeg) but that was in early September, so we didn't have the same late sun It was the last year with my collie-X. Bought the first Morgan the following summer.

Yes, my interest relates to radio, a hobby and for many years a profession that I have been involved in. I've held off posts for the last week knowing you won't see anything, but also there has been little to post as far as possible visual aurora. The service will return
