Sometimes I regret fitting the clock at that spot, as the clock’s light reflects in the sidescreen exactly in line of the outside mirror, this is disturbing when driving at night or in a tunnel.

Bert, you don’t need a constant readout of the time. Fit a toggle switch into the feed to the clock panel light. You can switch it off in tunnels.

Better still fit an air con outlet over the clock and you can direct the vents like they do with traffic lights. Or just close your eyes in tunnels.

Other option is to drive faster you won’t need to look in the mirror

Frightened and not confident bout removing dash- I there any other way to expose wiring for. Clock?

Dash only needs to tilt backwards a few cms. so you can get hands in and see what is in the way. Removing dash is not only necessary to find wiring but also to make sure of where your drill/hole cutter is going to end up, to avoid accidentally chewing up wiring and also to fix the clock in place from behind.
Sounds like you need to outsource the job?

Dont be frightened. To move the dash back enough to cut the cable tie attaching the wiring loom isnt difficult. Simply remove the 3 screws securuing the dash and also the small screws attaching the plastic lower dash panel.

The hard bit is having the nerve to take a 60mm hole saw to your dash!
