Good morning,

I am looking for some more advice please. I was studying the gap between the running boards and the rear wings on my newly acquired 1997 plus 4, I noticed a number of rubber spacers installed to fill the gap between the running board and rear wing. Due to an insufficient number of spacers, the rear of the running board is distorted. I would like to install more spacers or thicker spacers to allow me to straighten the rear of the running board. Could someone recommend a supplier of spacers and what would be the technical term, please?

Regards,
Alistair

Hi Alistair

These washers are simple rubber spacers, and a source I use when I need these is tap washers!

Agreed any old rubber washer provided it is oil resistant like nitrile rubber will do.

Am I correct in assuming that not all Morgans have these spacers installed?
At least my 1986 4/4 does not have any and there is no gab between running board and rear wings, but on my friends 1980/1 has them but then his running board and wings are aluminium and mine are steel.

Given the bendy chassis any cushioning between body panels would be welcome I would have thought.
