Good afternoon all,

Having had a new radiator fitted by BHM ( and what a great job they did ) I decided to fit a grill mesh for added protection. All went well after a bit of fettling.

Having pushed the cowl tabs back to accomodate the mesh I now find that the grill is a bit loose. With the new radiator in place it seems impossible to access the tabs from under the bonet to secure the grill enough to prevent rattles.

Any ideas on how to achieve this would be great.

Roll on July 19th.

Hi Dave,
that is what I will do if no other ingenious method of reaching the tabs is put forward.

Thanks for your help.......

I would be tempted to check the bottom of grill and mesh are secured properly at the bottom with the two screws with two rubbers on each between number plate box and grill. Also that they are tightened with the grill/mesh assembly pushed upwards into securing slot inside cowl.

The mesh is upside only hooked in. The main fixing is downside with the screws of the grille and the numberplatebox.

If it‘s ratteling, it‘s allways fixed downside with the screws. So is it wrong upside? Than the the hooks need a little adjusting.

Have a look here: http://www.talkmorgan.com/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/679412/Searchpage/1/Main/41650/Words/%2BMesh/Search/true/re-grille-who-fit-a-mesh#Post679412

Rob, I think you'll have to take grille etc. off again and close up the gap a little, then probably apply some of Dave W's fix. At least with neoprene it will stop any rattles!

Graham, that's exactly what I meant shouldn't be too difficult.

Funnily enough I have taken my grill off today to do a few bits and bobs. Interestingly, three self adhesive neoprene pieces are exactly how Morgan have done it at the Factory (late 2018 4/4).
