"Soccer" team? What's that, a sport about socks?

I believe it is. Certainly I'm uncertain what else it could be.
Football is played with an oval ball, and by Gentlemen.

I'm hoping for a clean, tight and entertaining game, full of skill, that keeps you in suspense till the bitter end. Whilst I hope that England prevails, I not sure whether England will be able to weather the Italian storm. At least we have been able to bask in the sun for while, if only potentially for a fleeting moment. I'm sure if we are successful we will be insufferable for a while...............

regards

John

I wasn't sure but please remind me, how is Scotland's record in such football tournaments?

Scotland do seem to do play slightly better with odd shaped balls! On current form the England under 20's have great promise.

The wife and I last night on what's app a watching with her Dublin born brother now living in NZ during the Ireland: USA game last night. The usual 20 second or so slight delay in timing coverage between us can be annoying, this time he was ahead of us for a change, so we knew what was coming before it happened.

He's a big fanatical supporter of Liverpool and English soccer in general, spent a decade living in London, got married in London and he will be watching the Euro final in the local English bar supporting Italy...........anything but support England.

regards

John

I wish the team all the luck in the world and that PeterG and Bob enjoy the game and I pray that the Italians have left their falling over lucozade at home and they play a clean fair game.

Sounds like a good plan, for over 35 years I've live within a short walk of 5 golf courses including Royal Lytham and have yet to spoil a good walk. One of the few games I just cant get into, that has a fantastic following when ever the British Open or other tournament comes to town.

regards
John

That crowd is ridiculous, folk have been denied the chance to visit loved ones, weddings and funerals restricted for the common good, public figures have been vilified for breaking the guidelines, but it’’s all fine for football fans.
