@ bunny - you where totally right - I will need additionally the steering upgrade kit - here the answer from krazy horse:

Yes indeed. You will need the steering comfort kit as well. Cost is £96.40 before tax and shipping.
It looks as though yours is a later steering rack. These are identifiable by a small drilled hole in the centre top of the central steering rack tube. Ie. The middle of the steering rack. May be hidden by wiring sitting on top of it. No hole means a very early narrow body type.

So I will order this parts too!

After driving a few hundred km with the 9 year old AVON tyries it was already a quantum jump to drive now with the Blockleys :-) - I´m nervous to mount the steering comfort kit + KH suspension upgrade ;-)

I am sure you will be pleasantly surprised with the improvements to the handling and steering with the Empire kit. You may require a few shims to fit the Empire kit to an early M3W, the build tolerances are not as close as later build cars. A digital clinometer is very helpful to set caster and camber angles, something that is possible with the Empire kit. The clinometers are available for about 15 Euros on eBay. Let me know if you require some initial set up figures.

The photos don't link ebetec. Copy and paste the BBCode and they should appear if you "Preview Reply" to check they are good.
