Good morning,

Can anyone tell me where I can buy the alloy wedges that grip the windscreen wiper arm to the splined spindle, as the screw threads stripped on one of mine? I tried a well known Morgan supplier, but was told I would have to buy a whole new wiper arm, just for the grip wedge. Any assistance appreciated.

Regards,
Alistair

You could try Car Builder Solutions but if the worst comes to the worst you could see if you can get a helicoil insert put in to renew the thread.

However, that might cost as much as a new wiper arm.

CBS also do the wiper arms and a lot cheaper than Morgan dealers.

Very much doubt that part is sold separately. A new wiper arm therefore frown

You may find a new arm comes with spring clip attachment rather than wedge. Just make sure it's engaged with correct spline orientation before pushing on as they are difficult to remove.

I suggest a visit to your nearest scrap yard im pretty sure you will find what you need there even if you have to buy a new arm assembly to recover the wedge it will be very cheap

regards

I couldn't find a supplier fo the wedge, so bought a generic arm from ebay for a fiver delivered. Make sure you check it has the wedge, not a push fit.
