Glad you sorted it - I was going to suggest fuel cut off switch if you had just hit a pothole. Phil We don’t have potholes in France You don't drive much in the Pas de Calais area Mick?? Hi Andy No, I stick to Bourgogne, we have roving pothole repair teams - rare for one to go unfixed for more that a week! My apologies - things must have changed for the better since I was last there. My two children`s first French words were "Chaussee deformee" - sorry no accents on my keyboard other than a Yorkshire accent.

Verify you are getting voltage to the coil. I had a "quick disconnect" that was faulty. The pins were good, but the wires crimped into the male and female pins were heavily corroded. No battery voltage to the coil, the tach would drop to zero, engine would instantly die. Jiggle wires, car would fire up and run until the next bump in the road...

Ron I did test the connections and replaced one of the spades as there was bare wire showing, though nothing near for it to short to. But swapped the coil for an old one I had in stock and it fired up straight away, now to see if RPI will replace it…
