My winter project for my 2019 Roadster will be to try to sort out the handling. I am looking for less "horny Kangaroo" and a more predictable and planted ride.......

Anyone that have changed springs and dampers? I believe that Wolf performance is doing a kit? Any hints, ideas and feedback would be appreciated....

David, a 2019 Roadster should have the MMC version of a 5 link rear, but the coil springs used are a bit track inspired and harsh for road use, SSL offer an upgrade for those, very easy to swop

Are you on a standard front end suspension ? If so the SSL upgrade to that will make a considerable difference too, but is much more involved and time consuming to fit, but will make the most effective upgrade

Yes its the MMC 5 link in the rear and standard dampers both in rear and front.

For me that has not been driving the car enough yet it is hard to say where the problem is. But the feeling is that the springs and dampers are not working well together.....wether that is due to too hard springs and soft dampers or the other way around I do not know. But going on a B-Road and when you hit a hole/bump it feels like the re-bounce makes the car "jump".....

If the road has a lot of bumps and holes like it gets here sometimes after winter the car goes full kangaroo.....:-)

You have tried the SSL conversion? Are we talking both springs and dampers?

I have now checked their homepage!! Thanks....It was pretty straightforward!

Anyone with experience with such conversion of a newer 5 link car? Was it easy to find the right adjustment after the conversion?

I think you mentioned thatyou have not been driving the car very much? I would not touch the suspension until at least having covered 2000 miles from new.

Last year Richard V6 and I posted a bit of a thread on the rear upgrade & some photos, but despite searching I can't find it, apologies but it's in TM somewhere ?

I personally, would start with the front end first and fit the SSL kit which inc springs, dampers, etc and is adjustable in situ to fine tune after fitting

Was that on a new car with the 5 link rear?? I will grab a shovel and start digging in the depths of TalkMorgan......:-)

I agree with this post. Morgans need time.

You need these dual rate replacements from SSL David.



Fitting them to my 2018 5 link rear Roadster gave considerable improvement to ride and roll resistance. It did highlight the front end though so fitted the matching SSL RS kit.
