Hi, I’ve had my 2004 plus 8 for almost 2 years, looking to change the spark plugs as I don’t think they’ve been changed since 2008! That said the car has a comprehensive service history and has only covered 14500 miles.
The more I look the more confused I’ve become with conflicting information on what should be a simple task.
The current plugs fitted are Champion RCIIPYPB4’s. All advice will be very much appreciated.

Many thanks, there is so much conflicting information. Trying to cross reference the plugs fitted was futile.

You are welcome, I found the same but went to my local factors and cross checked with him what the racing V8 3.9Ltr Land Rover boys used down here and that's the one that came up.
The Morgan Handbook for mine being 1999 is way out of date of course with the plugs - well most things really grin2

Rich is right, the BPR6ES are original rover fitment and best for smooth running. Modern "technical"plugs are suited to modern engines, not the old RV8 stalwart. All it needs is a reliable spark, nothing fancy. You can waste a lot of money on multi-tip iridium coated types, that make no noticeable difference to your regular engine.

Thank you both, sound sensible advice. I totally agree there’s no point in buying fancy kit that makes little or no difference.
