- using the TalkMorgan Full Editor to insert an image, which just puts "[img]" and "[/img]" either side of it to make it display. Also, you can use "Preview Reply" which will show the image before you actually complete the post.

I haven't seen that, but I put the journey into my planner and it would have cost £59 in the Tesla. John O'Groats is not served well by superchargers - not sure how many EV's venture up there.

Charging points still seem to be a big problem.

After watching Guy Martins programme, I found it quite sad to see all those classic vehicles being butchered and converted to battery power in that Mid Wales factory. I’m not sure Guy was overly impressed either.

Not forgetting the extra £20,000+ you have to spend to buy the Tesla and get access to the supercharger network

I was at C&M in the Mog when they were filiming (purely by chance), however only the tiniest clip of my Mrs on a bench.....

I enjoyed it. I think it gave a balanced view of where we are right now and what the future might hold.
The choice of car for the record attempt was disappointing I thought (aerodynamically) but obviously there was a programme budget to adhere to.

Yeah, it was fairly entertaining. His ending comments were that the UK infrastructure wasn't there yet and EV ownership was only practical If you wanted to travel 50 miles or so, and not do long distances. However he thought we would probably be there in a couple of years.

He already had and used his own EV car, although his Mrs hated it due to 'range anxiety'.

My Stag sat in a garage from 1983 to 2015. It only takes 6 months for a Stag to seize its engine, so mine was well solid. The rest of the car's condition ranged from 'scabby but serviceable bodywork' to 'nearly new interior & soft top'

If I were recommissioning it today I'd not spend a chunk of change on rebuilding the original engine; I would convert it to electricity. I don't quite understand anyone that take a working engine out of a classic, today. Maybe in 5 years when the electrical tech has moved on to enable a same range conversion, for some rarer and grander cars it would make sense if you kept the process reversable, and stored the mechanical bits. I think that's what Lunaz do with their converted Rolls & Bentleys.
