Same with my 2013 car, replacement chassis in 2017.

What is the percentage of pre-2014 3Ws, you think--that have had the brace installed early (with low miles)--that experience cracks in chassis? Are we talking 100% 50% What? I hear different things about the cause of the cracks: no K brace, engine vibration, pot holes/shocks to frame.

I have a 2013 M3W with ~ 3100 km with not one upgrade!

The chassies brace will be installed in 2 weeks at the local Morgan dealer here in Austria (got the part for free from MMC) and I´m wondering also whether a low mileage and the installation of the new frame stiffener (brace) is a good combination here or whether I also have to expect a chassies crack.

I do not think I will get a replacement chassies frame for a 2013 model and I want to be prepared here...

I suspect that all pre-2014 cars (that are actually driven) will eventually require a new chassis whether they have the bolt-in brace or not. Therefore, we need to trust that the factory will continue to supply replacement chassis for the foreseeable future. Whether they will continue to actually do the chassis swap free of charge as a gesture of goodwill remains to be seen.

I doubt the Morgan dealer near me would honor a "chassis swap," as I couldn't even negotiate them installing the K brace for me. As for "actually driven" I have put nearly 1,000 miles on mine since owning it in December 2020, and when the Canta ( w Bleazey mod) kit goes in, I will be planning longer trips. So I will start reading up on the weld-projects people have posted here, I do have one contact name of someone in Morgan who responds to emails. I will contact him for advice of the "if you owned this car what would you do" variety.

I have 45,000 miles on a 2015 and no signs whatsoever of any cracking. Its been driven over very potted roads and no problem - so while one car doesn't prove anything I certainly seems so...

It's pre 2014 cars that have the issue so your 2015 should not be an issue.
