We drove the delayed St George's day run for the E Anglian Air Ambulance charity today. We had watched the weather all week as heavy rain was forecast but by Saturday it was meant to be only light showers. Sadly the forecast was way off though we did the run hood down and enjoyed a free wash.
At the start at Sheringham there were light showers but by the time we got to the hall it was full on biblical rain. umbrella

The hood then went up once we stopped and stayed up. The owners of the hall to make that task more fun had liberally spread sheep dermot around the car. In the end it was like twister in the rain. laugh2 laugh2
The walk in the grounds and around the hall was replaced by a strategic retreat out of North Norfolk before it sank to a less wet Suffolk.

The most surreal part was on arrival at the hall a very wet photographer stopped us to get a photo of us hood down in front of the hall seen through the mist & rain. sosI haven't seen it yet but I suspect we look a tad wet.

Hopefully there will be sun next time.

Over the Horseshoe Pass to Llangollen, then on to the Ponty Aqueduct. Down to Chirk Castle, back up to the Horseshoe Falls and back to the cottage via the Horseshoe Pass again.

Did you stop at the cafe at the top of the Horseshoe for a pie? .... as a biker I'd guess you've been there a time or two before?

And here's the proof. Some of us elected to keep the hood well and truly up! [Linked Image]

Chris i think you made the right choice overall. But that photo is of the light rain heading into the start.

Correct. You surely didn't do the whole run topless? The rain was truly biblical when we pitched up at Holkham.

Yes the whole way. We decided we were so wet it was easier to keep going.
