Did you stop at the cafe at the top of the Horseshoe for a pie? .... as a biker I'd guess you've been there a time or two before? K
Ah - the Ponderosa Cafe - brings back memories 👍 Skipped the Ponderosa. Bikers Cafes aren't renowned for their vegan fayre! Found a lovely cafe in Llangollen and had a fab breakfast there.

We drove the delayed St George's day run for the E Anglian Air Ambulance charity today. We had watched the weather all week as heavy rain was forecast but by Saturday it was meant to be only light showers. Sadly the forecast was way off though we did the run hood down and enjoyed a free wash. At the start at Sheringham there were light showers but by the time we got to the hall it was full on biblical rain. The hood then went up once we stopped and stayed up. The owners of the hall to make that task more fun had liberally spread sheep dermot around the car. In the end it was like twister in the rain. The walk in the grounds and around the hall was replaced by a strategic retreat out of North Norfolk before it sank to a less wet Suffolk. The most surreal part was on arrival at the hall a very wet photographer stopped us to get a photo of us hood down in front of the hall seen through the mist & rain. I haven't seen it yet but I suspect we look a tad wet. Hopefully there will be sun next time. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/08/22/20210822_115325.jpg) Awesome commitment. Love the Rover 90 (105?). I had one when I was 21/22 in a slightly lighter two tone, which I tried to keep going as best I could. It had a valve radio that needed to warm up before sound would slowly emerge. It cost me £40.00 at a time when I was earning £11.00 a week.

The forecast of heavy showers in the afternoon proved to be wrong, as we drove under clear blue skies up to Pluckley for a relaxing drink at the Black Horse pub - new owners have certainly raised the standard their: Highly recommended! - then home cross country through the beautiful Mid-Kent countryside 🤗👌.

Here is the proof we completed the E Anglian Air Ambulance charity run top down on Sunday. I think the lady photographer was wetter than us and regretted volunteering. ![[Linked Image]](https://www.tm-img.com/images/2021/08/24/IMG_3128.jpg) Anyway today the car had a wash and a nice drive to the seafront in the sunshine.
