Well someone loved it and appreciated the engineering value and paid $50,000 on the 26th thumbs.

When first I arrived at thinking a Morgan would fit the bill for me, ORIGINALITY was top of my list, as it seemed I had adopted that cultural mindset... Though on joining various Morgan discussion groups it soon became apparent that Morganeers were mad for modification of any and all types, as it seems they still are today, More power just what every fifty year old Morgan needs to go with its extra flexible old body original brakes, shockers and St Malvern`s dance ... Yeah well that is perhaps a bit OTT as a description but it seemed to be the thing to create ever more imbalance in the already imbalanced design of a V8 in Vintage surroundings.... Air con..!!! Whatever next...Yeah Morganeers seem to be treading on thin ice when being critical of hand knitted machinery...? laugh2

Originality.
For a special car with provenance or unique history then yes.
For the majority of cars ( many thousands) then keeping them running well with suitable upgrades/ mods is fine. It allows safer extended enjoyment and keeps the car on the road. Improving on the original build is a regular Morgan thing. Morgan build the car but the owner finished it off. Personally I am amazed at the silly low mileages on so many Morgans. They are not “ precious” adornments to be polished to death between MOT’s.

Genuine question: I'm never quite sure what it is about cars that makes people think they have a right to comment about what other people should or shouldn't do with their property? It doesn't happen in other areas, does it?
