I'd recommend the Conti CT for standard sizes - about a third of the price of the Pirelli mentioned above. Running Avon ZV7's on mine, although non standard size (and even better value)

I binned my Conti CT that came from the factory. I found them quite poor in most conditions. Sure they allowed for the inner hooligan to slide the back end out but never felt overly confident in them. After all they are van tyres are they not?

Avon CR zz6 if you can afford them, they stick like the proverbial xxxxx to a blanket in the wet or dry.Perhaps Longstones could do us a special deal ?

No, CT22 is not a van tyre, it is sold as a "Premium tyre for medium size cars".
Current production has a B wet grip & D fuel economy (which bodes well for grip).

The size of a CT tyre for a 4/4 is also a van tyre. There isn't much out there using the size that a 4/4 with standard wheels uses. There is a reason why so many Morgan owners swap over to something else.

This topic comes up regularly, and every time I recommend Vredestein Sprint Classics. I see no reason to not do so now. Flippin' excellent tyres for a 4/4.
