I read a write up of it before I was able to watch it and thought it was an April/August the 1st moment?
As you say one person on the grid at a restart, most bizarre thing I have seen in ages. Mostly because he should have done the tyres!!
The game of skittles Bottas triggered at the start stole a lot of interest from the rest of the race sadly and Max must be fuming.
I have not yet seen the end of the race (work got in the way) or the final place changes so look forward to watching.
Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.

So if Vettel's been disqualified for not having the required 1.44 litres left in the tank to test, what happened to Ocon's car..? He stopped around the track and had to run back to the podium pits area.. Perhaps he knew his fuel level was critical... safer to stop! As to Aston, perhaps they used the same fuel gauge sender as Morgan.... Unfortunate for Vettel, I felt he drove an excellent race. One of the best races I've watched in long while! The comment about the fuel gauge had me in tears of laughter Peter, well done, brilliant BR Colin 🤣🤣

Family down at the moment but I'll definitely watch this one on catch up (well I've got 3 weeks) it sounds like total chaos ruled, a very pleasant change from the Star and Raging Bulls processions. Felt sorry for Vettel, can't believe I just said that though... I guess Horner and Marko are really feeling the Karma has visited them now such a shame...

What if Hamilton also decided to pit before the restart? Would there have been a start with no one on the grid? Or would they have just lit up the green lights and everyone would have started from the pit lane when nobody went by?

Hamilton's drive after the re-start was phenomenal given the Hungaroring's reputation for difficult overtaking.
There is no doubt, with hindsight that Mercedes re-start strategy was wrong but I get their logic.
Firstly, they did not believe that everyone would come in to the pits to change and secondly, their pit box is at the beginning of the pit lane so there was a real danger that if their pit stop was even a few 10ths slower than others, they would have got caught up with loads of other cars coming back into the pit lane in front of them.
Anyway it just goes to show what would happen with a reverse grid start. Hamilton would still find a way through.
I know Alonso got driver of the day and his battle with Lewis was both epic and crucial for Ocon's win but I think Hamilton deserved driver of the day.

Well the Dutchman crashed his car all on his own yesterday at the end of free practise without a Mercedes in sight leaving Horner and Marko speechless and even more out of pocket - cough, cough.
Anyway back to business, practise is about to commence and it's raining, this'll sort the boys from the men.. Posted at 14:5414:54 Post update Both Ferraris out in Q2. Disaster for them. The hobbled donkeys not having much luck today.
This should be a really good race tomorrow.

Yes - Vettel was right but ignored sadly and Lando paid the price.
