I was bloomin annoyed about the points issue, not the decision not to race. We had watched the F3 first thing followed by the Porche Supercup and it had been wet/damp for both. The rain/spray for the F1 was at a whole different level however and far too dangerous to go out on. An utter farce re the points…
Having been to Spa on three occasions, we have seen all major of weather but nowt like Sunday lasting all day. The Lando crash was scary and an even worse one occurred the day before in the W series…I am however reminded of the popular phrase “Motor racing is dangerous “ or summat like that - I hope it doesn’t lead to the taming of Eau Rouge personally…I think the gladiators display incredible skill in the wet, such I can only admire their bravado coz I ain’t got the bottle to do it myself…

It's a morning race here in the US. I wasted half my day waiting for a parade.
So they got half points for qualifying position. I guess that is kind of fair.
I feel mostly for the people that sat out there, though from what I could see they were having a pretty good time.

Next we can expect the Le Mans 24 minute endurance race. Careful what you ask for as there was discussion of LeMans needing to be either adjusted (for continued safety) or cancelled!

We all have to drive in the rain, we hopefully modify our driving to suit weather conditions, so why cannot F1 drivers do the same . Oh their cars are not designed to run in wet conditions.. So redesign the cars to be able to add bolt on wings, water deflectors and mud flaps to cut down spray it should be possible then we would have proper skilled drivers who can control a car in all conditions

I just do not understand what really happened on Sunday........should have just called it off rather than parade around behind the pace car for 2 laps and then called it a day.....shouldn't have awarded any race points whatsoever. I sure some of the TV coverage channels are pretty pissed of.....was this more of a contractual and revenue stream issue.
