Probably just applying long standing rules, which reward the faster teams when the race has to be called off. Maybe the rule says ‘at any time after 2 laps’ . You can imagine Red Bull protesting if they got no points

That's just what they need Richard, thinner tyres in the wet and flaming exhausts would help the view from behind too

I wonder what Nikki Lauda would make of it?
Remember his post accident comeback when he pitted and retired from the race deciding the rain made conditions too dangerous?

I do remember that race in Japan. It cost Niki the World Championship but after what he had been through it was the only sensible decision. I'm afraid that big business has got a firm grip on F1 these days and little else seems to count still, lets hope for a great race in the sand dunes in Holland.

I see Kimi has decided to retire at the end of the season.

Great character and a very good driver when he was at the top of his game.

Ferrari's last drivers world champion of course all the way back in 2007.

I still enjoy his participation but I think the time is right before he gets pushed out.

I liked the ice man, he was a very tidy driver I can't remember him crashing and I loved the way he took the rise at the so called interviewers treating them with total disdain at the banality of their questions.
I hope he enjoys a long and happy retirement.

David, Duncan would have raced anybody for sure.. no seat belts no rollover bar he just goes for it we were lucky enough to witness this run on the day and it was a bit heart stopping but wonderful.

I suspect there will be a light breeze in Holland which will cover the track in sand and we'll have another 2 lapper

Abrasive tarmac...
Short circuit with lap times of just over one minute...

It could be a great race.

The other Merc engine was in Vettel's car I think incase anyone is getting a little too excited in the orange or red corners..

Totally agree, he could be a little annoying at times but generally his quips to the muttering rotters were like a fresh of breath air !! Now, will all the dominos fall into place???
