I very much enjoy mechanical watches. When you wind up a watch- it reminds you that time is ticking on - and to make the very best of it- before you wind it up again.
Deep thought for a Sunday morning.😳
Now I’m off to spend a few winds enjoying myself. It may involve the Start button again🖖

I used to scoff at the idea of expensive watches, then I bought a nice one for my fiftieth, since then I can’t help looking at other ones and I’d quite like a rugged one for work now.

As Stewart said, watches are a very dangerous thiung especially if you get, as I do, the regular "Watch Finders" e'mail with all the latest arrivals. My saviour has been the closure of "Marcus" in Bond St, couldn't walk past that shop without comitting financial suicide.

I used to scoff at the idea of expensive watches, then I bought a nice one for my fiftieth, since then I can’t help looking at other ones and I’d quite like a rugged one for work now. If you haven’t already, take a look at at Bremont. Built in Henley- fairy rugged. Good secondhand prices. If you have ever used a Martin Baker ejector seat-you can have a special one!😊😊

Yes it can be an expensive lure I get Watchfinder’s regular emails and subscribe to their Youtube channel I also subscribe to HODINKEE and made the dangerous choice of allowing notifications on my phone for all their latest articles All very, very dangerous

Strange, I love HiFi and Cars and really don't want to know how much I've spent over the years, but watches leave me cold.
I doubt that I've spent £5,000 on them since I got my first watch, age 14....
Whatever makes you happy is a good buy.

I had a watch in my teens. I may have had two in my life. Just not interested.
I could collect socket sets though.
