Our newly acquired 4/4 pulls to the right.

Invoices with the car show that a new RH brake caliper was recently fitted by a Morgan dealer (and invoiced as a Lotus part).
Visual inspection shows the new RH caliper to be different to & larger than the original LH caliper!

I will replace both front calipers, my Girling parts catalogue is dated 1972 and shows 4/4 calipers to be Type 14, the same as a Triumph Spitfire, is it still the same part on a 1985 4/4?

PS I have had to correct the other work detailed on the £900 invoice, as it was all carried out to a similarly incompetent standard!

I vaguely remember that the calipers on our 1985 4/4 were Morris Marina / Ital / Triumph Dolomite items. Hopefully someone who actually knows will be along soon.

I can recommend the HiSpec conversion - probably a similar price to standard Mog Parts.

Cheapest I found were Berrybrook - Brake Upgrade

Bizarrely they came from Mulfab - sent to Berrybrook and then to me. Almost £100 cheaoer than ordring from Mulfab direct!

Need to do a little fettling to the caliper mount. This was missing from my instructions so trimmed a bit off the bottom of the brake pad.

Jack, I have a pair of callipers and discs that you can have, they are off a 1985 +8 I do not know if they will fit your car .

If you want them get in touch.

I do not want anything for them.
