Happy birthday Jon, sounds like a great day

A little bit late but also happy birthday from Northern Germany!
It seems you have enjoyed the day!

First pub lunch meet of local branch of M3WC since start of Covid. Good turn out with four 5 speeders plus a two speed Aero, my Roadster and an early 4/4. FolkMog sec arrived in newly acquired 1970 Moggy 1000.

50 mile round trip in perfect weather to the recently refurbished Bull in Woolpit, as took the opportunity to visit Bury as well. Bonus was Murco unleaded at 128.9p/litre at local garage.

Nice trip out to Paignton and back by road before the weather breaks tomorrow, full on rain for a couple of days.

Managed to cover 46 miles and a fill up with BP E5 @ £1.499 per litre and a nice surprise tankful to tankful I got 25mpg - must try harder.

Short 30 mile trip to Tanhouse Farm for Bacon Butties with Angie. Shortly after we arrived a Caterham 7 parked next to us and an early MGB turned up, it was like a sports car meet. A surprising observation was that the Caterham and Morgan were almost identical in the size of the cockpit even though the Caterham was clearly smaller overall. levels of luxury were a bit different.

That sounds like the best reason for a trip out Keith, interesting about the cockpit space in the Caterham I would have assumed it to be considerably narrower.
The last time I passengered in a Lotus 7 would be around 1970 and the memory has faded a little.

A fabulous trip in glorious sunshine together with 2 of the GEG to Lavenham for a "lickie" & then onto the Swan in Clare for a light repast & a refreshing pint of Timothy Taylors Landlord followed by visit to KH as I needed to get a valuation for my insurance. Dan kindly delivered & I funded the charity box.
Meanwhile Hawki was lost in lust in the showroom. The pictures below show why.
