Hi, I have a leak on my 2005 roadster master cylinder and my dealer tells me that the parts have been unavailable from Morgan for some time.
I would be grateful if anybody knows from what vehicle the master cylinder is derived from as presumably it is not unique to Morgan. For clarity it is a Ford 3.0L V6
Kind regards

I don't know but if I were you I'd have a word with the Morgan Guru Keith at Brands Hatch Morgan, he will offer you the best possible advice.

I've recently had the same issue with an early 3.7 which used up the old 3.0 stock

The newer ones part no U120040 fit, strangely the dealers & parts dept's don't seem to know this !

Another bonus of the newer ones is the clevis fork is adjustable so you can fine tune the pedal slop, Oh & change the clevis pin too

Vicar, just checked my service records and notes

Last time I changed one on a Roadster, I found the black rubber feed pipe had perished & in trying to remove that the slim outlet from the plastic header bottle snapped off swear

Nil desperandum, if that happens, don't pay MMC prices !

Car Builder Solutions parts...
Lockheed plastic reservoir (identical to OE) ref FLRES7 approx £10
Brake fluid resistant hose ref BFHOSE £7

Good luck & let us know how you get on

Just got the Roadster back after a six week wait!
At least it now has the correct master cylinder fitted. Great to have it on the road again.
Many thanks to all those who sent their helpful suggestions.
