This subject has been driving me crazy trying to find out which component's areat risk, suffice to say I'll use the expensive E5 as it runs better anyway. That said this is an interesting read https://www.hagerty.co.uk/articles/...ut-using-e10-fuel-with-your-classic-car/

They have two recommendations for additives one for Cats and one without. I have ordered a bottle of the Lucas oiljust in case I get caught out and have to swallow E10 for a tank or so.

We've covered 10's of thousands of miles through Europe over the years where they have been using ethanol for years, never had problems caused by fuel, I think we are worrying unduly, although I do use lead replacement additives in the pre 70's cars & as part of proper servicing inspect all 'soft' plumbing items

Ditto Jon. But I do find the 3.7l runs smoother on premium especially Esso

After the recent tip-off on the premium grades of Esso being nil E, I'm trialling it thumbs

Plan B, I am going to fill a container with E10 petrol and insert cut off fuel hose different types of rubber hose some brass fittings and some soldered tin plus assorted "O" rings, put a lid on the container and leave it in my shed , I will keep checking to see if anything deteriorates.

The DVLA have put up a website listing most cars giving dates of when they become E10 compliant. Morgan are on the list.

.+8 Now gone for a 1800 4/4. Duratec in bright yellow.

You need to introduce some moisture into that if your test tank is sealed, as that's the problem with E as it's hygroscopic, and this (allegedly) increases corrosion and bi-metallic corrosion to mixed metals

That's not a particularly good way to test the hoses, E10 resistant hoses may have a fluoro-polymer lining but the rest may be normal nitrile rubber- which will of course be attacked over time. Most petrol hoses aren't designed for full immersion
