Kevin, obviously Revolutions should know their stuff but is it worth checking for fault codes with an OBD2 reader and then doing a full power down reset of the ECU, and flip the fan relay ?

I’ll be chatting with them soon about the SOR so will ask if the reset is worth a try as well in case they haven’t tried it.

No they never stopped working but are on continuously once they start.

I’ll get it investigated when I get it serviced next

Might be an all too obvious question Kevin but have you checked the actual fan motor on the one that isn't working? Whilst that may not fix the whole issue at least you'd have full cooling effect on the coolant.

Cheers, Paul

Not sure what Revolutions have checked so far but they are apparently going to be hooking it up to a diagnostics computer as advised by the factory to try and control the fans manually via that so hopefully that will prove both fans are working.

I think she knows I’m selling and doesn’t want to leave!

Sorry to hear your having issues Kevin, if you stick with it you will be rewarded - I think a few of us have gone through the pain and thought about the dreaded sale.. but it is worth it I promise!

Re the control unit I had the main one go wonky, this caused a load of random indicator and wiper faults (mostly not working intermittantly, i.e. whenever it rained). It was a big heavy silver module stored on the OS under the ally covers. Morgan called it a Bradley box (after the man who made it apparently). I had the last one at an eye-watering sum, which does raise a worry if it goes pop again..

On mine the fan did fail.

When my temps started to go up I called the dealer and they told me to turn on the AirCon. Apparently the AC turns on the main fans so you hear them. If they don't come on then you have an issue. I was told if the ambient air temp is modest and you have a free run to the dealer with no stops of any significance airflow over the rad when driving is okay to get it back. It worked.

Second win was that I finally found a use for the fairly useless Air/Con!

Everyone loves a Morgan. Even me, unless it's broken again.
