Oh joy, what fun is that! At least there is an access plate to get there. Only one hand will fit so plan ahead! That particular part is not listed in the various parts guides so one must improvise. My lady friend works at a local NAPA store so gave me a handful for about $3. I had to cut one down and re-bend to fit the need. My hand will never be the same and looks ghastly for it.

I managed to make it work but I am not totally happy with the outcome. I may add a simple wrap around rubber band to the spring that is easily replaceable. Thinking along the lines of a rubber band made for keeping broccoli stalks together at the market. They are strong, robust and will last about two months before atmosphere exposure dries them out. This is an older 2012 model with many fixes and work-a-rounds to make it work at all. Just thinking about it. The throttle works but it could snap back better. I have another month or two before winter shuts me down so I will waste brain cycles thinking on this.
