It has a great track record. However, there are exceptions. I was so fixated on the notion that the hose feeding the left injector had to be the leaker, that even after renewing that hose, I wasn’t considering leakage from anywhere else. At that point, a non-mechanically-inclined friend suggested tying strips of cloth at the hose ends to confirm the source. An embarrassingly good suggestion. Lo, as HalfFull mentioned, it was the hose running athwartship between the injectors, which I had not touched, that was intermittently leaking… at both ends. A little squeezing solved it. I don’t share the distrust that some have expressed about the crimp hose clamps. My old VW bug used them without a problem and I found them on the fuel tank connections of my 35 yr old pickup truck. Granted, the injector system runs at considerably higher pressure than my examples. I do think that after a period of usage, re-crimping to compensate for some initial creep or set in the rubber tubing couldn’t hurt.

A VW bug didn't have 60psi of fuel pressure.

For the sake of $5 worth of tried and trusted clamps I would change them and be done with it.

For the sake of $5 worth of tried and trusted clamps I would change them and be done with it. That sounds like good advice 👍. Why bodge it when you can fix it?

well with mine it wasn't just clamps! the rubber of the hose was denaturing. splitting cracking. the gas was coming through the hose. Morgan used poor quality hoses.
I had to replace all the hoses (meaning the one between the towers too) and I learned the hard way that the hoses have to be "fuel injector" (thicker) 5/8 hoses.....with the proper clamps as planenut says.
