When I was 8 I used to walk down the lane in West Compton Dorset to meet my great uncle and steer the Morry 1000 van back to the house.First car driven on the road a Vauxhall Cresta of 195?. First car I owned an MG NA 1937 bought for £45 and sold for £47 a year later, if only I had known what it would be worth today

A Mk 1 Lambretta LI150 during the ‘Mod’ era. . I owned a Series 2 Lambretta LI 125, then a GT 200 with chrome side panels, which I rode to school when in the 6th Form. First car driven on the road a Vauxhall Cresta of 195?. The first car I drove on the road and learned to drive in was my Dad's 1959 Vauxhall Cresta. The first car I owned was a Wolseley 1500, purchased for £100!

A Morris 1000 in a farmers field on the Cumbrian coast near Millom. Propped up by cushions so I could see and reach the pedals. I think I would be about nine or ten.

If a motorcycle is a vehicle then I had a Lambretta Li 150 when I was 16... I loved it, FREEDOM..
I rode a restored one recently.... Horrid, in every way. Amazing how our standards and expectations change with time and experience.

It's very worrying how many on here had scooters! ... as an old greaser I'm starting to wonder what sort of company I've got myself into!! 😮

First two-wheeler was a DKR Scooter - second was a BSA Gold Star, third was a Vincent Black Shadow (bought in pieces in several tea chests). I was definitely going in the right direction.
First car I owned (jointly) was a Mk10 Jag - and I couldn't even drive at the time.

First driving Mums Morris 1100 very fraught, then a friends mothers Vauxhall viva all over northern NZ on a schoolboys road trip, first car a Citroen Light 15 in bright yellow followed by a Bambina with suicide doors -then Honda XL250 Mk2 and other bikes then back to a Morrie 1000 van with 1100cc ex Post Office , then Alfas...... We were allowed to get a full licence at 15 here then. I do recall sitting on Dads knee steering his Mk3 Zephyr down the road though in the early sixties.
