Took my 1990 4/4 for a MOT usual place.
He wanted to know the weight of the Morgan to put into the computer.
Apparently this is to do with the brake testing now required.
Looking under the bonnet found the Morgan factory plate.
There were four figures.
1100kg
1710kg
1- 445kg
2- 655kg
The tested stated it must be the top one ,I thought the 655 kg would be more like it.
It passed.
But can anyone tell me what the figures represent

I believe the figures in order are gross weight, max train weight (inc. trailer), front axle max, rear axle max. The latter two don't always add to equal the first figure.

Took my 4/4 sport in for MOT this morning - horn not working but they fixed it before testing. I was going to leave it with them but they asked me to wait & they would do mine next. They then asked if I could help by "driving" the car whilst they tested brakes & emissions - it saved the elderly tester getting in & out with the top up. Drove away half an hour later with MOT and no advisories. Result! The tester is a fan of classics and at present drives a Ford Pop. He certainly knew his way around the Morgan and said it was a lovely car and glad to see it was well used.
