Hi there, I seem to have a recurring minor coolant leak issue which seems to be coming from the top of the radiator connection (passenger side) on my 2007 Series III Aero. I just wondered whether upgrading to silicon coolant hoses may allow a tighter jubilee clip connection without damaging the structure of the hose which must be the issue upon expansion/contraction through the heat cycle.

Does anyone know of a kit of silicone / high-performance coolant hoses that is available for the 4.4 V8 BMW engine for the Aero?

It will either be the Dunlop connector onto the radiator, the O-rings can perish or harden, alternatively the hose onto the Dunlop connector may be failing. As OE they dont have a jubilee style clip fitted, but a crimped clip.

I have replacement Dunlop connectors in stock, and can source the top hose assembly complete. There's no need for silicone replacements

Hi Simon, many thanks for your swift reply (I'm amazed that you get any work done given the speed and frequency of replies on TM!); I've attached a photo I managed to take on my iPhone of the connection that was leaking when the system was pressure tested by the AA chap.

The hoses were replaced in June by BHM at the Aero's annual service as they had said there was a hose upgrade from the factory which they recommended and its been fine until now.
