Has anyone removed their headlamp rim and found an M4 nut being used as a spacer? I found one in each of the headlights on my car and am puzzled if this is a factory option! The rims don’t fit well and have been modified to help them stay in place ie bent with pliers on the inner rim. Not what I had expected on a craftsman built car!

Not what would be reasonable to expect but classic MMC "engineering". Have a look at the answers on the thread you started on the subject Nick.

I would have thought that is exactly what you would expect on a hand built car. Only with mass manufacture and compnents made identical and to within a thou or so do you avoid that sort of thing.

Relax and console yourself that at least you didnt find the old sandwiches and pop bottles that Jaguar customers used to find behind trim panels. You want things done right? Buy German or Japanese.

Not everyone is capable of making cars like Toyota, Kia or MB. Even the big names.

I cannot find the link to the video I first found but this one shows a few issues. One video showed a model Y with the frunk supported by some glued wood brackets. Apparently the Chinese factory is considerably better than the US one, fortunately the UK cars (Y & S I believe) are from China.

As an ex Model 3 driver I am interested in watching the video. However, since the recent Ios 15 update, one the many changes that appear to have been imposed on me by my white n fruity phone maker is that any video links put into any TM threads no longer appear at all. All that is there is a space where I suspect a video/YouTube box would be as before. Still images still show as normal…
As I recall you are clever with those electrons thingy, are you able to give me an idea if there is anything I can do to make the vids appear? Apologies for both thread drift and taking advantage….

edit - yup I have a blank space (not the one between ears) as well. My banana is also irregular. I will take a peek at the settings etc and get back to you.

On the first link it showed similar panel gaps etc that I had on Ernie - not a big deal but just disappointing - aside from the underfloor which was hanging off (sorted quickly by Tesla). The second link is about the new heat pump fitted to Model Y. Are they proposing such modern tech on a Morgan??? 🤣🤣

My Tesla M3 is a 2021 China built car.
Panel gaps are even and tight, no different to those on the 2017 AMG C43.

All 2021 M3 and Y Tesla cars have the heat pump, replacing normal A/C and the electric fan heater. It isn't very "revolutionary", we have a climate control device in our bedroom: in the summer it is an A/C: in the winter a heater and it was sold as a heater as that means only 5% VAT, A/C is 20% VAT. Crazy, the VAT rate depends on the invoice description!!
