..... I wonder what the story is behind such a low guide price for a brand new, unregistered automatic Plus Four and a "seems good value" evaluation? No hint of any issues in the description.

Not really that cheap. If it goes for the low estimate it’s £69,000 including buyers premium and VAT!

I'm sure I saw that for sale at a dealer in the summer, no aircon or I could have been interested. If it is, and I have remembered correctly, it also has the early hood and uncomfortable seats.

In addition to buying it the buyer will be liable for the first registration VED etc.

If you multiply the guide price by 1.125, and then by 1.15, it is well over £80k, or am I doing it wrong?

Aargh! They shut the doors trapping the hood flaps!

Sold for £60k and just about to pop up at BerryBrook for £68,995 unless they didn't take into account its an auto when they priced it. (auto is not mentioned in their description)

I was there at the NEC on Saturday and enquired about this car and had a good look at it

Silverstone auctions told me that the person that ordered it had paid for it but was no longer in a position to register of the vehicle

They wouldn’t tell me but I suspected that the person who ordered it had either died or was too ill to drive it

It all looked absolutely fine and brand spanking new. Although one thing it did notice was the right hand (as you look at the front) LED headlight lamp was wonky - Morgan PDI???

The beige hood and dark red looked great but I didn’t think the chocolate brown seats went with the whole package. It certainly wouldn’t have been my choice of upholstery - mulberry or beige to either match the hood or body colour would have been better in my opinion

If it had been a manual, I would have been very tempted to bid on it but it might have gone to a higher price

Had a potential new owner instead of a dealer won the auction and wanted an Auto, at £60K they would have got a bit of a bargain

Only conjecture of course, but maybe long-term disqualified ? Whatever it was, that original purchaser would undoubtedly have suffered a major hit to his/her wallet.
And when it appears through the dealer network, can it still legitimately be described as "brand new, unregistered" or will it have to be described as pre-owned ?
