Are the brakes binding at the rear?

Hello John,

as they told me the brakedrums where undo for the service and there would be all things right. But I want to change back for
the eared spinners, so I‘ll lift her tomorrow. The handbrakelever works on the usual way, not too short.

I‘m afraid they disadjust something on the engineside.

Missing Britain.

Greets René

Might seem hard to believe but yes I did drive my Morgan today, no more than perhaps 15 miles, some of which was at 70 MPH just to get the engine up to temp for the MOT. Hood up lots of spray and impending heavy rain, so not the most enjoyable trip out in it. with the hood up and overly sensitised to any rattle was not a lot of fun, but it flew through the MOT it has not even had as much as an advisory in all the time I have owned it, so all in all it was a successful run out.. BTW no run on the brake tester, Tapley/ G meter utilised.

I have done just over 600 miles since it`s last MOT... pity..!

Hello,

that was probably one of the last beautiful days of autumn 2021 in the Sauerland. We took the chance.

Brought the Morgan back from New Elms having had the exhaust fixed - must have lost most of its muffling wadding before I bought it 4 years ago as the run back on the A303 was the least noisy I've known! No ringing ears for the following few hours! Still can't hear the sat nav lady, but that's no loss really as I never have heard what she wanted me to know anyway!

I do enjoy reading of the many and varied ways that others enjoy their Morgans and never more so when accompanied by a nice pic or two. There was a time when I too would fire the old thing up to blow Wintertime cobwebs off with a bit of enthusiastic driving, but not so in recent years, and having put my Mog on Sorn this morning following it`s MOT yesterday, it has once again been relegated to being a garage queen. Though as John Harris of this parish/tribe describes, even when not being enjoyed roaring around out and about on the road, it still adds considerably to ones quality of life by providing of a sense of well being in just knowing it is there, confirmed by a few steps out into the garage...

Just to provide evidence that the Mog has been used in less than balmy days of recent years, I thought to try to attach a couple of pic from times past.

Perhaps the secret is to enjoy our machines in whichever way we can and for as long as we can...?
